This video was posted to show the effect of an archer's grip. After the shot the lower limb comes back toward the archer. I get the same reaction. The lower limb will often come back quickly and whack the bottom of my back quiver. I've often wondered if there is something in my shooting style/form that causes this and is it a shooting error. If it is, what is the fix? Any help appreciated.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Jock,

It appears to me that you have the web of your hand pressing into the deepest part of the grip.  On most bows, that is the "pivot" point and not the center of pressure for the bow. Pressing into the bow grip there will cause the forward rotation.

Try to place the base of your thumb (thenar eminence) down and into the grip more and see what happens.  I posted some pictures of A recommended grip in a thread called "grip question" here on this forum.  A search for that title will bring it up.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

That's exactly what I'm doing Arne. Thanks for the tip. I never did like the grip. Now I'll be thinking about getting it changed.
