Good job guys
I'm new to this having hunted one day with a 43# bow
I hunted with bows 60# and Up for the last 47 years
Then I struggled drawing at a deer on Blackbeard Last December
Can't have that!!
Made some changes soon as I got home
And I am really looking forward to continuing with this light bow

I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I've dropped down to 49# a couple years ago from 53# from 61 a few years ago. Shoulder injuries at work in construction. Last year I got a 43# longbow identical to my 49# er. First time I shot it was on a javelina hunt in Texas last year. Hadn't been able to shoot for a month due to ulnar nerve in my elbow acting up. Took 2 Navi's with it. I'm liking it a lot

Since all of my bows are under 45# at my DL now, I get to add stuff to this thread! Blacktail Columbian longbow, 43-44# at my DL.

I used a 150gr German Kinetic XL broadhead (1.5" wide), and it made a pretty good hole.

I always hunt with 60 lb bows but two years ago I had problems in both shoulders and had to drop weight and lay completely off shooting for over 10 months. This Arkansas Black Bear was about the third shot that I made in almost 11 months to allow my shoulders to get better. This bow is a sinew backed juniper that I cut off my place and made it is 45 @ 26 on a cold day and around 40 on warm days.
Blew through the bear at around 15 yards using a single bevel Grizzly on a Douglas Fir Surewood shaft.

One of three taken last fall. 40# Bear "B" mag TD. Pass thru on 2. Broke opposite shoulder on third.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Got a pig with my new Primal Tech longbow a couple weeks ago. At 40#, it's the lightest draw weight bow I've ever shot a critter with! I'm planning to take a few more critters with it before it's over!!!!
