Killdeer

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Howdy Ken! You always have some neat shots to show us. How was hunting this year?

I noticed that little dude,in the other pic.He just looks like an archer.I love it!!
Target archery is seeing how far away you can get and still hit the bull's eye. Bowhunting is seeing how close you can get and never miss your mark.

Killdeer...love the woods in the background. What a spot to hunt.

Ron, what kind of rifle is that.
Someday I want to get into flintlocks, but I don't wanna start with those department store short barreld things.
Thanks,
Tedd

Killy, there's something dead in your pic.  Looks like someone's breakfast disagreed wid 'em.  Maybe, lead poisoning?  :thumbsup:

Tedd, It's a Custom made German Jager built for me in 1979. Back then if you wanted a good period gun you had to have it made by a custom gun maker. Nowadays there's some really nice factory guns available.

Killdeer, that's a sweet lookin Hawken style rifle. I've got one that's similar in .54 also. Good meat guns.
