This thread reminded me I needed to do my after season cleaning to my hunting knife. ( I know, I should clean it after every time I use it). Mora Garberg. My favorite, surgical sharp and easy to keep it that way.

Before and after.

Hey Maxx44 ....  i don't think i need to tell you since you own one . The Mora " full tang "  Garberg   for the money , etc imo might be one the the best fixxed blades one could purchase on the planet  new .   Just an absolute  gem of an offering .   Thanks for shareing the before and after with us .

I carry different knives depending...mostly on my mood. Here's a couple.

Some great looking knives!  I got this one on a trade a few years ago. Don't know much about it other than the maker is from MS and a member of the knife makers guild.

Some really beautiful knives in this thread.

I have carried this combo pack for about 25 years. It has served me well. It's not very pretty but it sure does work well. I have quite a few other hunting knives but this set always finds it's way into my pack.

I love custom knives as much as the next guy. I even forged one for myself  but have not put handles on it yet.

But, I have to say that old Buck Akonua that I previously posted has done everything I could ask of a good knife to do.  Forgotten how many deer it has gutted, trimmed, skinned, deboned; one elk, I think one bear.
My wife bought it for me in Alaska for a birthday present 51 years ago.
