Glad I traded for a couple glue on 1 1/4" 250 heads and some 1 1/8" 250 heads.  They should supplement my Snuffers nicely.

I've shot the 150-grain 3 blade in the past. Great broadhead!

The small game thumpers have a design flaw, IMO, unless they have fixed it. The metal ribs extend all the way to the base of the head with no collar to distribute stress. So, if you use an arrow without some sort of collar, the head acts as a splitting maul on your shaft. Horrible design for a stumping tip! I ruined many Axis shafts with those thing on an elk hunt.

I'll have to see how the SGT fit on woodies.

Post season this year:  175 screw in's with a brass 50gr insert have replaced the 160 expoxy to the steel 75gr adapter.   Negligible difference in weight,  same flight,  easier set up.  Perfection!   1 1/8 cut as usual.

These 3 are running neck and neck....

175 - 1/8

200 - 1/8

250 - 1/4
-------------------

200 - 1/4 is  next with only 50% of the popularity of the 3 heads above.

I anchored 1 javelina with the 150 grain 1/8 3 blade and blew through 1 javelina with the 175 1 1/8 3 blade.  Also shot the boar with the 175 1 1/8 3 blade...the broadhead made it completely through the boar at 20yds.  Very impressed with the durability and ease of sharpening of these heads.

I use 250 gr 1 1/4 cut. I also use the SGT as well.

When I use a three blade: 190 grain glue on, 1-1/8".
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

You know what I prefer :goldtooth: Didn't know the 250 Grain SGT are being discontinued but I love those heads for stumping and small game hunting. Bullet proof, pretty easy to find the arrow, and devastating on small game... :campfire:

Longtoke

I love the SGT, stops an arrow almost as good as a judo and super lethal on game.  I buy them in glue on version as the thread posts can bend on hard hits.

As far as broadheads go I like the cutthroats.  I consider them a vpa head.  I also use the 200g glue on 3 blades
