Does anyone know of a place to buy glass by the inch or foot? Im looking to build a few kids bow @ 36" so i will need at least 38" glass, I'd hate to buy 72" glass and not have any use for the cut off.
caught between:If it ain't broke, don't fix it and can't leave well enough alone.

Thanks Roy, this is where I meant to put it.

I don't about who sells it that way, but if you cut 38" off of a 72" lam that leaves 34", which should be lots for the belly side of most bow limbs where any sort of riser/handle block is used.

You can buy Bear paw glass by the 200' roll at Kustom King, or you used to be able too , and for kids bows it would be fine. But I don't care for the glass quality myself.

My plan was to use clear with a veneer on the back and black or colored on the belly, thought this would save some cost. But after looking around and only finding full rolls or 72" strips, it looks like I'd be better off doing as Mark suggests and just use one 72" strip per bow.
Thanks guys

Mike from Rosewood archery can help you out.  You will not find better service than from Mike and Kyle at Rosewood.  (417) 749-3086.  He should be able to cut you what length of glass you want.

I think KennyM may sell by foot? He's a good guy and ships really fast.

No bearpaw right now and Gordon's is 72" sorry

Sorry I think I was thinking of the stabile core I just ordered

How about 72" X  2" split to two 1" strips and as suggested,  the 34"  pieces to the belly.

Two bows from one strip.
