Good morning. I am in need of a little help.

In preparation for my BW longbow coming, I'm in need of some arrows.
I will be shooting aluminum arrows. I want to still use my 250 gr tips.
Now specs are 45@28"

I'm not sure if 2216 or 2117 would work

Either could work, depending on your DL and the length of the arrow.  Probably BW would be willing to include one of each along with your order for a nominal charge.  BW probably could also give you good advice about arrow selection.  Best advice I can give you is don't buy more than a couple of either one before you know from your own shooting which works best.

I think a 2117 would suit best with such a set up and you are drawing 28".
That's a freight train !

I'm running 2016 @30" from a 50@29" with 125gn heads n my PL so you"ll be in the ballpark I'd think

I shot that same weight from a SA2 and i found 2018's worked BUT i dont remember my point weight but i almost always have a heavier than normal point.

I say get one of each and when the bow comes just concentrate on bareshaft tuning each arrow along with adjusting brace and nock... once you get a shaft that shoots like it has invisible feathers on it then order those.

I would suggest 2018's if your draw length is at least 28"

That is a coincidence. I was just pondering the same thing for a bow I have on the way. Mine is going to be a Big Jim Mnt. Monarch 51@30". I have 2219s and 2216s in my bin. The 2216 is probably going to go over the GPI I was targeting. So after testing, I might get some 2117s and try those. But most likely it will need 200 gr or less on the front for stiffness.
It seems like aluminum is always the most accurate shaft for me. It would be nice to see some glue in/glue on inserts made.

I think I've got some of those inserts for aluminums... no threads, just glue-on at either end.  Let me know the size you need, I'll see if I can find some.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

I have a "few" LB's  in that range. Very close to what you are shooting.  They like 1916-2016. about .500 spine. Funny how so many bows with close specs like different arrows. Just got to wait when the bow comes in and test it out.  Now I have a shed full of arrows.  Making another set for another new Black Widow LB.  Drives my wife crazy
