I quit watching them 20 years ago.  Need to be more like Flip Pallot than the garbage they air now.

I do like one show " Meateater" some bow hunting, rifle, cooking wild game.

I so agree long product commercials.  I understand that they have to promote to make money but not at cost of false hope and wounding animals.  Years and years ago, I emailed the big two and another channel.  Pitched the idea of having a "legends legacy" show.  Talk about bow hunting legends in some of their famous hunts.  Give education on now hunting history, people and tackle.
Only one (not a sportsman show) got back with me that there would not be enough support for it.  Shame

These guys on hunting shows are running around shooting a dozen or more animals a year.
There is no way they can use that much meat.
They are killing just to be killing.
Don't get me wrong I am a hunter and I harvest 1 or 2 animals a year. If I have meat in the freezer when hunting season comes around I will only harvest 1 animal at most and sometimes none.
Thats my reason for not liking hunting shows. They have comercialized hunting.
