Does anyone shoot the newer Bear mag takedown without the grip on it?

I have had two of the mag takedowns, but no. I also had a Hoyt mag takedown without the add on grip. The metal is dang cold when it doesn't seem that cold. 

I didn't care for the rubber grip and without a grip it was terrible. I'm liking this so far.
