I was able to kill my first buck with a traditional bow this weekend. 11 yard shot off the ground tucked into some brush. This was on a 120acre low fence lease in South Texas. I was able to get it on video, but because of how the GoPro was mounted on my head you can't really see much. I had to wait until he was facing away from me to draw and had a hard quartering away shot. The arrow deflected off of a small branch and ended up striking him further back than I wanted. Despite impacting far back, the arrow penetrated deep and he ran around 30yds and fell over dead. I couldn't believe it. I was using my 47# (probably around 45lbs at my draw) 1967 Bear Kodiak Magnum with Black Eagle Vintage arrows with 125gr 4-blade Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts. I was on cloud 9 the rest of the evening. It was a great day.
