Wishing good luck to all New York bow hunters this year.  Early archery begins Friday in NY's vast Northern Zone, and starts next Tuesday (Oct. 1) in most of the other areas.  Have a successful season, post some pictures, hunt safe, and please wear a harness if using a tree stand.  Your family and friends will appreciate it.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone. NZ hunter here ready to go. Been out a few times looking for a bear or at least some sign with no luck but found this picture when I went to put up a stand on a new (to me) public spot yesterday.

Thanks, Ron.  You as well.  Everybody be safe out there and best of luck (of course we're fully prepared).

Have been seeing lots of does but no bucks.  It all tastes good.

Had this fellow in my driveway last summer.  Based on the basketball hoop he walked under he is 43" at the shoulder or thereabouts.  Haven't seen him since.

Last week was 80+ deg. this week all rain, but Im happy, next week should be better, looking forward to sitting in woods, hope everyone has a safe and pleasant season....

Really looking forward to get out in the woods and experience it all again. Plenty of acorns on Long Island like most years and getting a lot of pictures of does with a few bucks showing up also. Looking forward to a couple of stand sites I've put up in some really thick stuff that has some active scrapes going with my vine hanging.

Another season has begun ! I went out two of the cooler mornings this week and had a couple of does and 1 very small bodied , spindly rack 8pt walk by close . Hope I don't regret passing on him later ! Had a fisher come by and that is the first one I've ever seen although I've had them on cell cam a couple of times . Looking forward to seeing some of you turn this into the New York bowhunters harvest thread . Good luck to all

Saw a fisher tonight myself.  One cleaned out our chicken coup of 30 chickens two years ago.  Had he come another 10 yards closer tonight . . .

Seeing does/antlerless but no bucks so far.
