Like your thought process, there are allot of good bows out there.  I'm a one piece D/R longbow fan; MOAB, Big River and Moosejaw come to mind.

For me it will be the Custom Kodiak. The legend at the service of the practical. In bubinga obviously ! :saywhat:

Great Plains Longbow R/D Bamboo 55# 28"

I have to say the the Howard Gamemaster Classic. The most inherently accurate bow I've ever shot. At my age I'd love to have a 35# model to carry me through the rest of my hunting years.

I've read and heard allot of good times about the Howard  Gamemaster 66" recurve.  Hope you have many hunting years ahead, Charlie.

Nowadays there are a lot of great , fantastic and exceptional bows on the market and we all are blessed with really talented and knowledged bowyer but the Bear TD system is really something different maybe not the fastest not the well made bow out there but a bow that can cover all the Bowhunters needs. So my vote goes to the Bear Custom Kodiak TD

A Morrison Dakota longbow, '95 I think. Yew limbs, Cocobolo riser. 57 lb@my draw. With the pinecones carved in the grip for traction. Remember those! That thing put arrows on top your other arrows. With cedars or those original version AD Trad tapered shafts. I broke it at the sight window/shelf. I could shoot good at twice the range that I do now.
Or an Acadian Woods Treestick. I don't know why I sold that one.

I haven't seen much that a 60# Moab wouldn't take care of.

Absolutely, nor a 70#.  I have yet to use the #50 as I'm still pulling 60 with ease.  However, the 60# has killed more animals by far. It's freakin Magic.

Have to agree about the mid-60# MOAB's.  Hoping to test Moosejaw Razorback  60# with some Snuffer and Grizzly Instinct heads this year, so far the draw cycle on this Moosejaw is one of the best I've had.  Tried and own some pretty good bows.
