First of all, I want to thank Trad Gang and Terry Green for allowing me to post this here! The Grumpy Old Archers are again raffling off a Black Widow custom longbow or recurve, valued at $1350 to benefit the Emmanuel Community Life Center. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. The winner gets a custom recurve or longbow made to their specifications. Wood options, carbon laminations, laser overlays etc. are available at the winner's expense. We will cut off the tickets sales on March 9th to be sure that we have filled all of the ticket orders before the DRAWING ON MARCH 16TH.

We are selling up to 500 tickets this year to make as much money as we can for the CLC, but it appears that we will be lucky to sell half of that amount. If you would like to purchase tickets for the bow raffle, please contact me via private message here on Trad Gang. In your message include your name, cell number (preferred method) or email address and the number of tickets you'd like to purchase. Make out your check or money order to-Emmanuel Church and write "bow raffle" on the memo line. Then mail your payment to-

When your payment is received, I will write your name and cell number on the tickets, take a photo of the filled-out tickets and then text/email you a photo of the filled-out tickets.

Bringing this back up to the top. It appears that we will only end up selling 250-300 tickets, which is just fine. Last year we had folks complain about the lack of tickets, so we made more this year. All proceeds go the mortgage for the CLC building, as well as maintenance and general upkeep. I'm surprised there aren't 150-160 Tradgangers (x3 tickets) that don't want a crack at a custom Black Widow?
I may have to put in for another 3 tickets??

To The Top! You've got until Saturday March 9th to request tickets for the Black Widow Bow Raffle. The drawing isn't until the 16th, but we want to allow time for folks to get their payment sent in before the drawing.  If you want tickets, reference the instructions in the first post on this thread. As of today, March 3rd, we have only sold 215 (approximate) tickets out of the 500 we had printed, and I am guessing we will sell less than 300 total.

Thanks to all that have supported the Emmanuel CLC this year with their purchase of tickets. This will be my last year heading up the dinner and bow raffle and the support from Trad Gang has been awesome! Thanks Trad Gang!
