If I would of had a larger piece of Bocote wood, I would have 2 risers

This is what I came up with. I just sat the lams between a couple blocks for the pic. Mosaic lam is .050 and the outside lams are .030. I flexed a test piece of the mosaic and wood broke before the glue joints.

So from what I'm reading here no one is gluing a thin lam to the mosaic strip before gluing the riser up. Do you think that would be better or worse? That was my original plan because I was worried about the mosaic strip snapping. I angle cut the lams hoping to add a little more strength but I'm still worried about them breaking. I was planning making them 0.050.

That is exactly how I do mine. I usually use coretuff. Pre-glueing helps with tighter radius'
