philip,

You've had a time of it and remain faithful...we're not promised a rose garden but didn't Jesus say that His path is a rocky and difficult one to travel?

(paraphrased of course)

Your Mom is in her just reward now... prayers for you to know His peace that passes all understanding...

Doc thank you for your kind words. Our God has been good. Mom was really not in any pain just having trouble breathing because of heart failure. My prayer was for her to go peacefully in her sleep so she would not struggle and be scared. She did exactly that and is now with my Dad as she told us she was ready for.

Philip,

It's MY privilege to hold you and yours up in prayer...

My father died 7 yrs after Mom and he had Rheumatic Fever as a kid and damaged a heart valve... he struggled with bypass and pacemaker but in the end, CHF got him...he made 90 the hard way, in a home last 2 yrs and the last 15 months were not pretty...

Philip, Prayers for you and your family my friend.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

As I sit here this morning depression and sadness weigh heavy on my heart but I try to remind myself that Mom and Dad are together again and celebrating in a place only we can imagine. Thank you to all who remembered me and my family in prayer.

Doc Nock

Grief is a normal human condition...even Jesus cried when he learned of Lazarus passing...

Philip,

The Lord thru his Holy Spirit will give you the strength to battle the sadness  & depression... Grief is a process-- it takes time to change those emotions that are human, and some effort, changing your socks is an event!
