Hello, Tradgangers,

I have been a (right-handed) recurve shooter since I started with archery, and I have recently got a Baraga with locator grip. I am almost completely recovered from a shoulder injury and, while I am not strong enough to shoo the bow yet, I have been exercising drawing the bow. I think I will be ready to shoot it (strengthwise) in a couple of weeks at most.

This is my question: I have noticed that when I am at full draw, the shelf is not parallel to the direction of shooting, but it is slightly obliquous: the edge on the belly (i.e. closer to me) goes on the left, while the one on the back (i.e. the edge toward the target) points right.

I was wondering if you have any suggestions, or any good links to videos/images I could use to improve my form.

Thanks for your kind help,
Max

Really need to see what you are doing!!  The bow will line up with the string unless you have a death grip on the bow.  That would be my guess.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

Thanks, Arne,

I'll try and relax my hold and see how it goes!
