Made this for a friend that's a baseball coach. Team colors are brown and yellow so I used mesquite and Osage orange. Natural pins and black liners.
Steel is Nichols Damascus boomerang pattern. Still need to sharpen but hope to surprise him with it at the game on Saturday.

the steel is amazing and I love those woods together! Could you elaborate on Natural pins? I've never heard that before.

Natural (colored) micarta is a medium brown.  You can buy it in blocks for hidden tangs, sheets for scale sets, and pins or tubes for handle hardware through most knife suppliers.  It's cool stuff that's very very dimensionally stable, easy to work with, takes a variety of finishes, looks pretty good, is very consistent, and inexpensive.  Its a wonderful material to have on hand as a knifemaker.

Beautiful work on the knife and sheath.  I really like that a lot.
