Dare to Bowhunt!

I'm heading out in a couple weeks to chase buffalo with Lammie and crew with my longbow. I've been with Lammie on 3 other hunts (plains game) and it would take an act of congress to get me to go with anyone else. They are a 100% Bow Only operation (very few of those over there) and Lammie is a traditional archer himself, which is even harder to find! He really knows what all it takes for a trad hunter to be successful as possible. Other tradgang member Tim King shot a big bull with him last year.

If you have any questions at all, let me know! Hopefully I'll have a lot more info on the buffalo in a month or so.

X 3 on Lammie...he will tailor a hunt to you regardless the game. He DEFINITELY will stack the odds in your favor, which to me is incredibly important when you are spending that kind of money.

As Shiloh said, Lammie understands the advantages and limitations of trad equipment.

Be glad to answer any questions regardless who you book with

And I can say for certain now (although I had little question about it before), Lammie can and will get you hooked up on an incredible buffalo hunt. We played cat and mouse with a herd of about 40 for 4 days, and the last scheduled night I was finally able to connect on an old, super hard bossed bull. Lots of close calls the first few days, just couldn't get a good shot even though we had shooter bulls in range on more occasions then I can recall. Definitely a hunt I will not forget anytime soon.

Dare to Bowhunt is great, but you can also check with Tino at Trophy Game Safari's in SA. He has a great Buffalo heard there. We will be hunting with him next year for Plains Game. http://www.tgsafari.co.za/

Congrats!  That bull has a big "boss".  I just returned from Namibia for plains games and got a great Kudu as well as 5 other animals.  Africa was great - wish I hadn't waited so long to go.  Have to take the wife to Ireland this year, then I want to return to Africa.

Can you give us the specs of your equipment?  I was shooting 650 gr carbons with 200 grain "Cut Throat" single bevel broadheads and the bow is a 70lb recurve.

Dryad Orion 3piece longbow 76lb@28" (closer to 78 at my draw)
Easton Dangerous Game FMJ Arrows with 75gr brass insert and 300gr Tuffhead single bevel broadheads (910gr total weight)
Was pushing 168 FPS with that setup.

Thanks sir! His boss was definitely more impressive up close than I imagined, but then again, the whole critter itself was more impressive up close once I got my hands on him!  :goldtooth:

WHEW, that should be a load shipping that back to the USA.  What are you going to do with the hide - rugged?  I am currently working on getting my hides back.  Had everything rugged in Namibia, except for the shoulder mounts of the Kudu and Gemsbuck, which will be done over here.  There has been problems getting everything cleared through Customs and inspections completed here.  Maybe next week I will have everything.  Hope you have a receiving agent already lined up in the USA.
