"Don't Tread on Me!"

Once I took an Oath
For God, Country and Family
I have never been relieved of that Oath
Don't Tread on Me!

My body may not seem strong
As once it used to be
But, be careful what you push
Don't Tread on Me!

We may not see eye to eye
We don't even have to agree
And just because I won't
Don't Tread on Me!

For I have been across the water
Sailed the open sea
Sweated in the desert sand
Don't Tread on Me!

I made it back from one tour
Then two and number three
Some never made it back at all
Don't Tread on Me!

I took an oath for the Constitution
I served my time willingly
Now you wish to take my freedoms
Don't Tread on Me!

I'll fight you tooth and nail
And others too, you'll see
We are the wolves among the sheep
Don't Tread on Me!

I don't go looking for trouble
Best to leave me be
But, if you try and push your agenda
Don't Tread on me!

There are countless thousands of others
It's "Molon Labe" we breathe
When you come for ours....bring yours
Don't Tread on Me!
