I have been using a glove for four years. Recently I have developed a bad release (plucking the string). I was thinking of giving the Tab a try. What are some good recommendations on where and what kind of Tab to consider? I shoot 3 under

I have a Yost Tab.  It's good for 3 under and has laser etchings to measure for string walking.

I'm garbage with a tab, but I'd use that one if I was going to tab shoot.

I like the Safari Tuff 3 under tab, which you can get from 3 Rivers or Safari Tuff directly. However, I think you should treat plucking as a separate issue to be solved, apart from whether you use a glove or a tab. Just make sure you haven't worn a groove in your glove fingers, which can make it hard to get a good release, but that is different from plucking.

I have been using a tab for many years. Using it has done nothing to help me avoid plucking. It seems unlikely to me that a tab or glove makes a difference - at least it didn't for me. I do have a training routine that I use to help control this bad habit.

Now, don't laugh, this is what helps me the most. I visualize myself releasing the string with no hand movement. This is all a mental picture that I repeat over and over. Then, when I actually shoot, I try to keep my hand perfectly in place at my anchor point just as I have imagined it so many times. It works pretty well for me, but I do have to periodically re-visit this exercise.

Never would have thought of the groove in my shooting glove. Just checked it and sure enough two of the fingers have a groove.

I am going to give that a shot and see, thanks

I don't shoot a glove but i do shoot a Black Widow tap it lets me shoot with a deep hook which help me not pluck the string.

Another vote for the BlackWidow tab from a long time tab shooter.

I got a Rick Barbee 3 under tab today and have a yost tab on the way. The Barbee tab has a unique surface which seems pretty slick.  I normally shoot a saker one split finger so only been shooting three under for a day LOL but like the Barbee tab.

I also use the black widow from time to time but prefer the AAE Elite without any of the attachments I like a deep hook. I find for me the aae is smooth and consistent.

I started shooting with a tab and did for 8 years or so.  I tried a Big Shot glove and loved it.  Even so, the glove was allowing me to commit some serious release atrocities and after 2 years it was beginning to show.  I picked up my old tab and started at that again.  It is much less comfortable, but my shooting has improved a ton and my release is almost always better (no dragging 3rd finger off string).

Thought I would update. I ended up just using fingers. I get a great release and I prefer it over a tab or glove. Only drawback is it hurts like hell! Lol

Double or triple your serving where your fingers will be.

That will help.
