I think I will make a hat  :)   I shot this guy on the way out of the stand.  I saw him working a creek approx. 20 yards from me.  I snap shot and hit him square.  He only went a few feet.

I shot one once and it squealed like a baby for five minutes, I quickly knocked another arrow hoping a coyote would show up. It was loud.
Nice job.

Super cool, congrats. I want one bad but all these NY coons are rabid or carry distemper.

similar picture. I had seen some coon tracks in the snow this morning when i returned home from work. In town -- just got home 9pm, it's dark and cold, single digits, and there was scurrying movement on the back porch. A coon came out of the heated cat house. the coon didn't seem to alarmed and didn't go far.  there was some blood around the entrance to the cat kennel. I went inside and got my head lamp and strung my Hatfield. when i came back out the coon went scurrying from that cat house again. It didn't move far enough fast enough. Maybe an eight yard shot.

I just found the cat a few minutes ago and she seems to be in pretty good shape.  so when i came in and turned on the computer, found tradgang... this thread was the at the top of the list. I went back out and got the Pic to share.

Congrats! They make for tough targets. I shot one a few seasons back and had it mounted. Hangs right next to some of the best white tails Ive ever killed.
