Have you been using the string tracker long?  How do you like it?  I've hunted south TX before and can definitely see where it could come in handy.

I started using the string tracker about 20 or more yrs ago for night time hog hunting. I used it a bunch back then. I got on my current lease about 12 yrs ago and we decided that we wanted shoot thru netting in the windows of our ground blinds (only two treestands on our lease as it is mostly low brush). I quit using the string tracker then because I thought there was no way it would work thru netting. Last year, on trad gang, there was a thread about the string tracker, and a guy posted that it would work thru netting. This got my interest up and I tried it on a hog thru the netting. It worked great and I have been using it for everything now for about the last year. The string tracker will not make a bad shot good, but it sure will help you out on a good shot with a poor blood trail!
