A little about myself: Hello my name is brad and I live in PA. I just got into traditional archery a little over a year ago. I bought my first traditional bow its a Lewis Hollow Archery Hayestani recurve 47lbs at 28. I love it.
Well here's the story I was hunting a friends farm on Nov 6. I got in early and settled in my summit climber. I didnt see any deer until 8am when I seen a tail flicker just below me about 50 yards. While watching the deer I hear footsteps behind me, I look over my shoulder and see a big body deer with a nice rack. He comes into about 20 yards I draw and anchor and release and I see my white fletching go right over his back. A little disappointed but I just laughed and thanked god for the experience. Fast forward until 11:15am I stand up to trim a branch that was hitting off my safety harness and I hear a loud russling noise. I look in front of me and I see a doe with four bucks on her tail, they run to my stand stop when I voiced grunt and I picked a spot on the biggest buck and released. I seen the arrow hit a little back and watch the deer slowly walk down the hill and then he bedded down 70 yards away. In the meantime I called my buddy and he said just wait and he would be over. About 45 min later the deer got up and walked down the hill with tail tucked and moving very slow.Fast forward a little got down about 2 hours later me and my two friends meet up and my dad. Started tracking it rained a little alreday and calling for rain/snow mix later that day. Trail started off very well with lots of blood, than we could see where he laid down and than got back up. Tracked about 400 yards and my dad yells I think I just seen him get up and run off. By this time I feel sick to my stomach. So we decided to sit for an hour and wait. Got back on trail and tracked another 150 yards or so and than nothing. We did a grid search and found nothing. SO we decided to back out and come first thing in morning. Meantime I go home get a shower, depressed had plans with girlfriend and friends to get dinner. Than I get a call from my best friend he said dont go anywhere we found him. Here him and my other good friend (justin) went out with the 4-wheeler and found him laying under a pine tree. My 2 blade stinger took out his liver and exit hole was right behind opposite shoulder just a couple inches low, missed lungs. Its a 8 point with a 17 inch spread and a huge deer. My best buck to date and best of all with traditional equipment hope you enjoy. Happy hunting I'll try and post pics never did that before    :goldtooth:

Yes I do. I asked them why did you go back out and they said because you would do the same for us. It touched me and I am forever thankful
