At the bottom of each page there's a list of names that have recently been on the site. Some are in red and some are in blue.

I'd love to know why they are different or what it means.

red = currently online
blue = was here, but now gone

Hang on.....I believe its because you have clicked on their profile....their name turns blue just like threads to that you click on.

They will stay blue till you clear your cache file.

Yes Terry that is correct.

There are some folks that are blue that I've never gone to their profiles that I recall. I know there are some who's profile I have been to that are still red.

I am just about as confused now as ever...lol That may not be something that can be fixed...lol

the recent visitor listing isn't exactly perfect, and it also runs off a 60 minute timer.  dropping cache will also update the visitor list.  bottom line is the list is a 'guideline' of sorts.

It's not a big deal, I was just curious and needed help figuring it out.

I hope all of the problems you encounter the remainder of 2010 don't get any harder or more critical that this one..lol

Mudd....go to that box of names and click on a red one....their profile will come up....close everything out and go back to that same box of names and that name will then be blue.

Just like the threads turn blue that you have visited.

You do not have to click on them 'in the box' for them to turn blue....you can click on their name to the left of any of their posts, and it will turn the name blue in the box.
