I have a bow that was built in '95 I am wondering if there is anyway I can turn this bow into a fast flight compatible bow?

Recurve or longbow? Do you have any pictures of the tips?

I think all bows are fast flight compatible. I have shot 8125 and fast flight on all of my bows for years. I have selfbows with no tip overlays that have only ever had 8125 on them. I always make my own strings and I add extra strands of dacron in the loops to thicken them up and soften the string loops as well, never had a problem. I have a fast flight string on my 1974 model Kodiak Hunter. I had always shot dacron on it when I bought it in 1974 because there was nothing else but change over to fast flight many years ago and it has never worried it, still going strong and she has been around the ridges more than a few times...Glenn...

I have had 4 Martin Hunter's  -- shot FF on all of them-- the trick is to pad the Loops. I just build them up by wrapping them w/ dental floss.  Ive been shooting one for the last yr. (few 1000shots) that I wrapped the loops w/ electricans tape. - yeah, I know, Pathetic. I'll get the dental floss out tomorrow.

Jack Harrison is helping me refinish a Doug Knight built about 1990.  He recommended we beef up the loops and not use fastflight.  The tips are small on this bow and fastflight can cause problems.
