Pine cone knife

Here's a hunter I made using stabilized pine cone for the handle for the first time. The blade is 5" of CPM35vn stainless.

Very cool. Great functional blade design and a great looking handle. I've wanted to put pine cone on a knife handle for some time, might just have to do it after seeing this one.

Caley, I got the pine cone scales from Jantz if that helps.

What the Hell is a stabilized pine cone? I may not know what it is, but it sure looks good!

Sam,
Pine cone that's been injected with a resin under pressure to make it resistant to water, oil, and hold it together. They stabilize wood in the same manner.
