I just finished this press and took some pictures while it is still nice and clean.  Back when I lived in NJ my buddy Thad told me if I could design one, he could weld it up - and we did just that.  Thad welded up two of them, one for him, one for me. I moved it to Wisconsin where it sat for a year and a half and I just moved it out to the new shop and got it going.  Turned out really good and it provided a solid mount for my blacksmith vise as well.  This is a 5HP unit - 2 stage pump and very much based on Batson's book.

Here are some pics:

Enjoy it while it's clean!!
Nice job.
Rig up a foot pedal that'll kick it up a notch.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

I like that old blacksmiths vice mounted on the side. The old with the new, great combo.

Very nice press.
