I had this one in the works for a while as well. Started in NJ, finished in WI.  I bent and shaped the S guard at an ABS event as well as started the roped spacer.  I finished it up tonight and got a few pics in at sundown.  I am finally getting a bit better with peened pins.  I still struggle with both getting them even on both sides  as well as getting the sides tucked in. I made a jig similar to the one Thad posted a few weeks ago, took my time and focused on not screwing this one up and it worked out.

13" OAL - 8" 1084 blade, 303 stainless guard and spacer. Nickel silver pin.  Handle is an unknown piece...I think it is some type of rosewood, but the grain sure looks like teak.  The wood would not accept tru-oil at all, or at least would not accept it drying on the wood.   Here are a few pics before glue up and finished.

The first finished pic make it look like the dang guard is angled the backwors.  I think it is a combination of how the blade is laying as well as the forward angled plunge cut but it is amazing to me how the finished photos reveal issues that you cannot see during construction.  Happens every time.

You'll notice the "luckiest" elk hunters have worn out boots.

I was thinking the same thing as Todd. Very clean knife, well done!

Nice work Brad. Craftsmanship looks top draw.

You are becoming a great knife maker my friend!
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.
