I came across this blade style awhile back while helping my son do a research paper.I filed it away and forgot about it until just recently. This blade was very popular back in the 17th century. The general OAL is 8". I kind of like it. What do you think?

Very plain but practical looking.  Would make a good patch or utility knife.  Love curly maple!

That is a popular blade. Green River sells a bunch of those.

Looks like it would be a great camp knife.  Love the lines.

Hey Frank, Yeah That would be a cool one to rerpoduce wouldn't it? You could even make it neck knife size. Say 2.5"-3" blade lenght. Just make the belly a little deeper.
