Read the article here.

It is still an offensive idea to many, but at least they will not be doping the deer and giving that ammo to the Anti's.

Vermonster, this is what I get when I click the link.

Can you check the link?

PS - That's great news, but it's only half of it. This whole concept needs to go away.

bbassi - link fixed.

Drugging scheme aside, killing animals for dollars in high fence venues still stinks big time and is against all the basic hunting principles I hold dear.

But now it is not much different than the Drury's or a lot of others who are making videos to sell. It isn't anything in the way of extra ammo for the anti's and won't be feeding a new generation of hunters a lot of misinformation on what hunting is.

I still find the idea offensive, but there are a lot of offensive "hunting shows" and this one will be just another compared to the damage potential it had before.

But, but, I thought the drugging deer idea was supposed to be "God's Vision" for hunting?  Does this mean Farbman has decided to be an athiest?  :D
What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

Now he can't sell the "hero" buck after the comp'. Must be going to cost a lot.

Now that the format has changed the whole concept is much the same as what goes on all over the country anyway, isn't it?

The Money, Bimbos and Glory still isnt what hunting is about. Atleast not to me...

They have changed the payout structure and are toning it down they say. I still don't trust this guy and think he has lied to us to much. But I also believe that his original market and mainstream exposure are now lost to him.

So now they're going to kill them inside an enclosure for competion and call it hunting? Unbelievable!!!

Ray Hammond

Yes, but I congratulate you, David on your fine work- your hard work- because now he is nothing but a watered-down Dream Season due to being inside a fence..the deer get killed...which is going to cost him a fortune, comparatively, to do this on a large scale...he's now just another huckster selling his "wares"..the marketplace will take care of him.

Congrats, David...if its true it was a hard, but honorable effort that paid big dividends for the hunting community and YOU, personally, were way out ahead of everyone in this effort...and I mean EVERYONE.

I have thought hard about this and I am still against the event itself taking place, simply because its high fence and not a fair chase hunt..so I would still like to see it go away..and now that we have him weakened and on the defensive if we do want him to go away its time to finish this thing off...what do you think?

This happened because hunters banded together. Everyone forgot about Traditional, compound, rifle, etc and stood up for hunting. We spoke in a unified voice and showed what can be accomplished when we all work together for the good of hunting. There are many challenges out there for us, but when we speak together, we have a very loud voice that is listened to.

Congratulations and thanks to all here who helped!

Amen to that!

And by the way, congrats to everyone who helped end the blunting part of this abomination.

What still iks me is that he is trying to turn hunting into a 'competitive' sport. It is not.

Danny Rowan

I agree, he still plans to make this a compitition and hunting is not a compitition between hunters. It is one man against one animal.
I still think we should go against his scheme.

Good job Vermonster13!

Your leadership and tenacity turned this battle around. You relentlessly hammered away at Farbman's exposed flank and now it appears that he may be preparing to Sound Retreat.
The toughest thing I've found about deer hunting is getting them to hold still long enough for me to stick an orange spot on them and then step off the yardage...

I got a canned email from WHA regarding the "dropping of the doping" yesterday.  It was a reply to my earlier nasty gram to Farbman.

What makes me chuckle is their claims of a change of heart. They are now listening to us, right. As soon as the FDA made a statement that they considered this event illegal use of the drugs and the Michigan DA's office had been directed to explore the legality of this event, then the WHA claims that they have a change of heart and will listen to us.
