Congrats on a great hunt.  Looks like fun.  I hope to work an early season mulie hunt into my schedule in the next year or two.

Great story, that is some beautifull country. Kids have a way of saying things that puts everything into perspective.

Wonderfully told and beautifully illustrated with those nice photos. Congrats!

Very well told!  Your story was fantastic as it took me on the emotional rollercoaster we all ride when we head out with bow in hand.  The pictures really added to it.  Thank you for sharing so much.

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the kind words.
Kip- The tent is a Cabelas bighorn. This is the first year we have used it. I really like it, I can stand up in it no prob( I'm 6"4")
Good luck to everyone, and I will be doing a story or two on my elk hunts, one in UT one in ID

Steadman,

Congrats!  Good luck on the elk hunt.  I passed on some elk in an any elk unit I was in as well as some small bucks.  Let me know if you ever want to try to get together during the extended archery hunt. (assuming we have not filled our tags) or to get the boys together to shoot.
