I have no idea how I overlooked this thread. It is one thing to look at the old Fred and Howard video of adventures from a different era, but this is now! and this is great! There is hope for all of us would be mountain hunters and your pics and story just reinforces that and for that I thank you much. I would venture that there are others out there with great, not so everyday adventures to share. Life is too short and this stuff just too precious not to share. Jacob has set the template for a great picture- story. I eagerly awate the next. THANKS JACOB!

Greeeeaaaaat story!  I really enjoyed the suspense dealing with the tent.  I really enjoyed your tale of adventure and I am quite glad your nanny didn't fall too hard.  Good luck to you and your girlfriend on your new addition.  Stamina just took on a whole new meaning.  Thankyou so much for sharing your story and pics, I am definately waiting for the pop-up storybook version.  :biglaugh:

When I first read this story I was on the phone calling the outfitter and setting up a hunt. All I can say is most of you guys are better at restraining yourself than me.

Thanks for sharing the great hunt.  The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when you spoke of the old Grizzly.

Congratulations and a job well done.

Thank you all for the kind words, it was my pleasure to bring you along.

I have some fine hunting to enjoy here in Denmark year round, but the next biggie will be Northern BC for whopper moose in 2009.
We only live once and it might be over tomorrow, so we might as well live life to the fullest    :archer:

Now you guys go enjoy the amazing hunting and nature you have all over the US. You might not all be aware of it, but you are blessed with proberbly the worlds richest opportunities for worldclass hunting at ekstremely low cost right there in your backyards.
Wish you all a great year and season

Jacob,Thanks for taking us along on your BC Goat hunt! It brought back memories of my goat hunt in Montana years ago. Unfortunately I wasn't using a bow but I had an exciting experience! I did bring back a Billy with 9' horns. You got me all excited with your experience.

...  When thru the forest glades I wander and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees, when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze, ...How great Thou art!

J, thanks for taking us along on the journey.

Awesome adventure, I hope to do some hunts like that one day when money will allow it...until then it is nice to live through the stories and pictures on here.

Great stuff. Looks alot like the country I hunt  here in the Yukon. I do need to take more pics though. In the high country you really have to watch out for the grizz. Never had one charge me yet, but it's always on my mind. Up here we run into them all the time. Hunting with horses can be thrilling on it's own, but the mountains you climbed are a dream to most. I am putting in for Goats this year. Your shots over and under sounds like my Dall sheep story accept you finally got your trophy. One over - one DRY fire - and one under...then I was outta arrows. You make me proud to be a traditional archer.
