I am not a great story teller like a lot of you guys but I will do my best...To be honest this past year has been a tuff one. Confidence in my shooting went in the crapper, I guess that came from switching bows to many times. To be real honest, it got so bad I went back to the wheels for awhile. I just didn't want to cripple up an animal because I couldn't make a good shot. On October the 6th I killed a 18" wide 9 point from the ground at 9 yards. It would have been a buck of a lifetime with the longbow. I was disappointed that my shooting had gone so far south that I had to go back to the wheels.
That same week I received a bow that Bill Stroup had made for me. I was so disgusted with my shooting that I really didn't shoot it that much until last week. I pulled her out dusted off the arrows I thought would fly and low and behold the arrows flew great and went where I was looking. Its like my shooting just showed back up after being on a 6 month vacation. Last year I killed 5 deer with a Dwyer Long bow that ended up selling to Ken Denton. Since I sold that bow my shooting has been terrible. I thought that bow had cursed me for selling it.

With all that being said I took my new bow out on its maidien voyage. My shooting confidence was back the weather was great and I headed to the woods feeling like something good was going to happen.
About 3:45 I had a spike roll through. He offered me a great shot but I passed. He is going to make a fine buck in 3 or 4 years.  He thought he was the king of the woods the way he was making scrapes and rubbing his nubs in the trees. I took this as a good sign.

Nice job. Nice bow too. Now you can sell the wheels so you aren't tempted back to the dark side.   ;)

Love the little gal's greenie gillie suit. I want one like it!

Nice buck and photos. Know all too well that bugaboo where shooting accuracy takes a vacation and just shows up again. Wish I knew what the secret is, but just be glad it came home.
