My brother Andrew came up to Weston, MO this weekend for the second of three hunts we have planned for this fall's early bowseason.  Andrew, Charlie Lamb, Tom Porter, and myself all got together earlier in October and while we saw some deer we didn't put any venison in the freezer.

Thankfully that ended this weekend as my brother shot a doe out of the same stand that I harvested my buck and doe two weeks ago.  Needless to say that stand has been a winner.

I thought I would post some pictures for my brother.  I sure was happy to have my morning hunt interrupted by a text message that said "Got one".     :bigsmyl:    This is Andrew's first deer in two years. He was busy building a house last fall and it really limited his hunting. It's great to get back my original hunting partner.  Thanks bro, for coming up and spending some great time with my family and I.

This last picture is my son Charlie Kinslow who is almost 4 years old.  He is a great little boy who loves hanging out with "the guys".  He has been wanting to go hunting with me for the last several weeks.  I promised him he could go sit in the double bull blind this weekend.  We went out for an afternoon hunt.  I was hoping he could see some deer.  I saw two does but Charlie had fallen asleep at that point. That's how it goes when your still only 3 years old.

Charlie Lamb is going to stay over here for a few more days and has seen a nice buck that has visited a scrape two mornings in a row.  I'm hoping he will make it three mornings in a row because we moved the stand to a point he has been crossing on both mornings.  If so I'm sure I'll be posting some pictures of Lamb.

Was this doe taken from the same farm as the wood for your Zipper? The Kinslow brothers are off to a great season.

Bill,

I was hunting north of KC where my brother lives.  We are all going to be on the family farm this next weekend, so hopefully we will complete the circle with the bow wood soon.  The osage is really mellowing now, lots of red coming out.  Thanks again.
