Guy's and gal's I'm having a problem with some tradgang arrow wraps! I just made up a half dozen 2016's from some old shafts I had laying around and spiced them up with those good looking reflective trad gang wraps, and some 5 inch shield cut white feathers. They look real sharp tipped with some 125 grain snuffers.
 Well, I took them to the woods with me this morning and when I got back I noticed the issue. It's hard to explain so when my wife gets back with my truck (camera's in the truck)I'll post a picture so you will all know what I am talking about!    :biglaugh:

I believe you will be able to see the obvious issue in this picture. This wrap turned pink on me!

Any guess'es as to what happened? Well I'm off to the woods for a bit I'll tell the rest this evening.

Well now that we have seen the problem this is how it came about.

It started out as a crappy November day 40ish and raining and I had to work to top it off. I managed to get out of the plant by 9:00 A.M. to enjoy a rainy November day in the woods! I was settled into my favorite stand by 10:30 and was hoping to see a few rutting bucks chaseing does.

By 12:30 I was soaking wet, hungry, and had only seen a single button buck when I noticed movement across the ridge.

Soon I realized a group of turkeys were working there way through the walnut grove. They scratched around here and there and finaly headed down into the hollow between me and my house. A wild hair popped up and I decided to abandon my stand and try to sneak through the pasture and get in front of them.

20 minutes later I am sitting in a blowdown and hoping I didn't spook them getting there which I figured I had. A couple minutes later I see a red head coming down the old lane and it's showtime!

The group of 6 fed slowly down the lane and passed me at just 9 yards, I was scared to blink knowing how spooky turkeys are, but luck was on my side as the last bird past by me I started to draw. Of course one saw me and they all spooked a little but one paused at 12 yards and offered me a slightly quartering away shot. I picked a spot on his wingbut and watched as my arrow flew right and high putting a snuffer right into his neck! The arrow burried to the fletching and he flopped a bit  and was done. That snuffer did a job on him for real!

He just had a smudgen of a beard and little spurs but he will eat great!

I am on vacation for the next 9 days so I am hoping this is just a start of whats to come!!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I had trouble with mine turning red like that this season to, mine didn't have a nice turkey on it though like yours does. Mine ran into a doe that worked for me   :thumbsup:

I would say that is a good problem to have.  Nice shot.
Good luck during the rest of your vacation.
