It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

Sorry guys, internet is VERY slow out in the boonies and we are still hunting...

I am no great storyteller like my buddy Whip, so here is another shot for Ray   :D

Talondale

That's some big antlers on a short nose.  :)  Congrats on the knife and the buck!

It was AWESOME!

I used Mike Mitten's "puppet" rattling technique and he came from 300 yards on a dead run to kick my tail.  I shot him at what later measured 27 yards with my Silvertip and Snuffer SS.

He's got 15 points over an inch plus some broken ones, 19 1/2 inch inside spread and he measures 30" around his neck up by his chin!  He was quite a fighter; his neck and shoulders are all tore up.

Man that awesome Steve!!!!  He's a dandy bruiser for sure!

Congrats again!

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Thank guys!

We've been hitting it pretty hard out here since April scouting every chance we got and with a little help from some local friends.  My two hunting buddy's were able to come out as sceduled Oct 24th and I got delayed a week due to problems at work.  Both are Trad Gangers.  Cote (Stickman) shot a nice 9 pt Saturday, but I don't have a picture.  Here is a pic of Gary's (Chimaster) buck from last Monday.  He shot his buck with a Habu VyperKhan and Snuffer SS.
