That was a great story! Thank you, Mr. Lamb! And welcome back!

Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

Charlie Lamb

CK... not sure whatever happened to that armguard. Might have given it to someone.

It was made in the days before I got a hook setter and started using bungie chord instead of lacing.
That guard was a pain in the patoot to put on and didn't stay put very well.
Much happier with the hook and bungie system I use these days.

Good read Charlie....glad your back spinning yarns again!

Charlie, that was a nice fat buck. I notice in your quiver that your arrows are separated. Two different sets, one for game and for stumbing? Mike

How many of you are ready for October after this read?

Master indeed!

Life ain't a dress rehearsal.

David... I put a separator in my shoulder quiver and depending on my needs put broadheads in the easy to reach section and blunts in the other or vice versa.... usually have some of both even when small game hunting.

JC, I think he is trying to ignore us! I wanna see a book too. Charlie, Get to writing that book cause if something ever happens to ya, all that will be left is the stories we all have of ya. I really don't think you want this bunch writing a book about you!   :scared:

Thanks for the story Big Guy, that was awesome. I can't wait for you to tell another one.

If a hunter tells a story in the woods and there's nobody there to hear it does it make any sound? (or however that old saying goes   :D  )

Planning to work on "the book" this winter. Lots to learn about getting that done.
Until then Trad Gang IS (and has been) my book. Thanks all for being here to read it.  :)

As someone who can't bowhunt because he lives in Nambypambyland, the only way to do it is by reading tales like this. And who better to take me hunting than Mr Lamb.
Thank you Charlie.

Well this is a first for me I think - I was gone and didn't read this until now, so I got to take in the whole story in one sitting!  :D
Thanks for another good one Charlie!  I've read a pile of the traditional bowhunting books out there, but your story telling ranks right up there at the top.

In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln.
