After reading all the great stories on this site, I thought that it is my turn to tell a story.    
Now remember that I am Norwegian, so the grammar is not going to be perfect.
I have been shooting whit a long bow for about one and a half year, and finally thought that I was ready to go on a trad only hunt.    
I was going to hunt whit a Horn longbow 51@28 (55 at my draw) that I bought from bechbowhunter. Thanks Norb, it is a very nice bow. After a lot of testing, I ended up whit G.T trad arrows @ 30", 100grs brass insert and a 100 grs broadhead. This gave me a 500grs arrow. I know most of you think that this is to light of an arrow, but this is what flew the best for me.

My hunt was booked whit Hamish Skead at Lowlands Hunting Safaris. This is my fourth hunt whit him, so I know him and the aria quite well.
The firs morning we started a bit late, after arriving in camp at 4 in the morning.   Sunrise at Bhizayo Safari Lodge
After some shooting and a nice lunch, we heeded out to the bush to find some warthogs.  
Both me and Hamish prefer to W.S so the plan was to sneak around till we spotted them, and then I would try to get inn to less then 20 yards for a shoot.
We spotted quite a lot of pig, but had problems getting close du to swirling wind.
I finally manage to get to about 15y on a sow whit tree smaller pigs. I came to full draw and as soon as on of the piglets turned broad side, I released the arrow. I saw that the arrow hit the pig in the gut, and I knew this would be difficult. We searched for the pig un till it got dark whit out finding it. In this area, the bush is very thick and there are a lot of pig burrows. We decided to com back in the morning to lock for it, and went back to the lodge for dinner and a cold beer. It had been a fantastic first day, except for the bad shot.

The next morning we were out at first light, locking for my pig. We kept searching until lunch time, and found nothing. I felt terrible, but there was noting more we could do.  
After lunch we went to another part of the farm locking for a hog ore impala.
We found some hogs, but I spooked them before I got close enough for a shot.
Then an opportunity presented it self when we found to impala rams fighting in the tick brush. We stalked after them for about an hour whit out getting a shoot, and we thought we had lost them. All of a sudden we herd them fighting again, and now they were close. I could se them about 30 meters away, and the loosing ram was backing straight towards me. I kneeled down behind some broken branches and got ready. At 9 meters he turned broadside and my arrow was released. As I saw him run off, I could se my fletching tight behind his shoulder and I knew hi was mine.
After a short tracking job, I finally had my first animal whit my long bow.
   And Hamish got the hunt on film as well.  
      I do not think that I ewer haw had a beer taste as god as it did that evening at the camp fire.

That is a cool hunt and a great trophy!!

The third day I went to a beautiful place down at Bushmens River.
 
This is a place I have hunted on several occasions so Hamish suggested that I hunted by my self, sins one person makes less noise then two. I was exited to be able to hunt by my self, so i grabbed my gear and headed in to the bush. After a while I spotted some Blesbuck out in a clearing. I walked around them and crawled through some thick brush, to get close and have god wind. I got to about 40 meters and then ran out of cover, I decided to sit tight and wait. It only took about 30 minutes before a ram got to about 20 meters and turned broadside.

My wife ceased this guy for two days, without getting a shot whit here bow.
