Finally got the call. Almost a 13 months to the day I returned from Africa I'll be picking up the mounts. I'll posts pictures as soon as I get them on the wall.

Here they are! We picked them up in San Bruno at West Coast Taxidermy on Friday. We put them on the wall as soon as we got home. It took over a year to get them done. The tannery was about four months behind schedule.

The first mounts you see as you walk in the front door are the Kudu and Gemsbok (and maybe the Red Hartebeest euro right next to the front door...) Pretty imposing figures looking right at you.

Then as you enter the living room and look left you'll see the Bushbuck and one of the Impala.

The two Impala are on each side of a 5' x 8' window that looks out onto our garden. Couldn't get a good picture of that effect but it looks cool.

Then there is the Blue Wildebeest table top euro mount. This is real nice. I'm going to see how long I can keep it on my desk at work. If no one in charge orders me to take it home it'll stay there.

Finally, the Red Hartebeest is next to the front door, and you can see the other Impala next to the front window.

I still have some finish and trim to do in the living room so when it is done there will be some nice oak trim around the front window. There is also plenty of space to add more mounts if we want to.

So, that's it! We returned from Africa in late August of last year and here we are in early October of the following year having completed the journey. These mounts, the pictures, and video will all continue to remind us of this once in a lifetime trip.

Great trophys... That table top mount is awesome. Good luck on keeping it at work...LOL All it takes in one person to "cry" about it and you know what happens next.

Good looking mounts!  The waiting for the taxidermy work to get done is almost as bad as waiting for the trip to begin.
