I have a niece in Texas. My older brothers Daughter. She may have listeria from Blue Bell ice cream. She is 51 and been very sick for over two weeks and a fever for two weeks. Her name is Brigette. Going tomorrow to see infectious disease doctor

Yikes!  Nothing is safe anymore. So much for the FDA inspectors having our backs!  :(

Prayers for a good diagnosis and fast healing... so many things out there today we've not seen before, docs must be frustrated, too, trying to get a handle on all these new things...  :(

Brigette doesn't have listeria. She has pneumonia and a suppressed adrenal gland. She had blood work and waiting on further results.

Pneumonia aint nothing to "sneeze" at, but they have a good track record for treating that at least... never heard of a suppressed adrenal gland...
