My 96 year old grandmother is in need of your prayers. A couple of days ago, she slipped and fell in her bedroom. My mother, whom she lives with, called EMS to come check on her. They neglected to notice that she had bumped the back of her head and only bandaged up the scratches on her leg. They told my mother she was okay and just needed to rest.

This morning, she fell again. Before that happened, my mother had noticed that she was not herself, shaking, slurring her words, etc. This time, a different EMS crew came and took her to the hospital. Again, though, they had not noticed the large bruise on the back of her head.

Long story short, due to my wife's insistence that a CT scan be performed, it was discovered that my grandmother has some bleeding inside her skull. I'm not sure, yet, what the treatment options are, but she'll be in the hospital for at a least a week or two.

I'd like to ask if ya'll would pray for comfort for her. She's a Christian and has lived a good, full life.

Thanks.

Amen prayers for God's perfect grace and comfort
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

96! My, my... that's a fine achievement right there.

Prayers added to those above for your grandma to be under God's watchful eye and that HIS will be done.

May His Will be that of healing and restoration.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Thank you so much. I'm sitting by her right now, watching her sleep.

Well, this looks like the end for her. We called in Hospice this evening. Thanks for the prayers.

Prayers will continue for comfort and strength for your grandmother and your whole family.

Cheney,

it's only the end for us who love them here on the blue marble...for them it's a whole new "beginning"... of life everlasting with our Father.

Prayers for God's will and for His blessing on each of you, and your Grandma in this time of transition.

My Grandmother passed on peacefully early this morning. My mother was by her side when she took her last breath. Thank you so much for your prayers. Although we'll miss her greatly, she lived a very full life and was ready to go. Her last days were relatively peaceful for her.

Thank God for the fact that this isn't the end but a life of freedom from pain and sickness was waiting for her. We miss those who go before us but soon we can join them if we accept the sacrifice God provided for us through His Son Jesus. May God comfort your family

What Galen said so well...

Glad she was ready and went peacefully.  Rejoice in her "total healing" in Christ...for death to believers is God's perfect healing!

Prayers from here also for all left behind hold dear to her memory and bind closer to Him and to one another.
