A young couple I know is in big trouble.  The young man is adopted, was abused in early childhood and comes from a very different culture and ethnic background.  he'd had made some tough choices in late HS years but turned himself around. Now he's drinking, denying, abusing his wife---and she took the young kids (3 and 5) and left fearing for her safety.

We all like them both and can't find a way to reach out to the young man... Most close to him are afraid of him and I live too far away to really build a strong bond.  he is a neighbor to a dear friend in another locale. We've interacted and joked around some...but no bond--yet.

I pray for his discernment and God to move in his life to show him the destructive path he's on and allow him to WANT to reach out and seek guidance, healing and help.

I pray for better insight on how to be part of that network of support and that God shows me how to be part of a solution.

Prayers for the youngman and his dear wife and children.

Thanks, guys.  Jose' is a great guy, but a bit tangeled up inside.  Both these young folks are so unhappy for whatever is eating away...they've taken to bickering at each other. she's safe in neutral ground for now adn Jose' appears to have gone home to his parents in the NE area of our state for a few days. I sense from some comments he made to me a week or so ago that since his Dad retired, and left the area, all is not equitable at work where his brothers run the biz where he still works... being the "adopted" one, he makes it sound as though he's treated less as a partner and more like hired help.  That can erode a person over time...

Whatever the problem(s) only the Lord Almighty can get between them and the devil whose playing one against the other in this battle.

Thanks for your prayers for them and their families not to fan the flames but provide guidance and support for both and resolution.

Praise God! Got new news that the gal came back home and so did the fella from his folks and they're seeking counseling. We're to hook up and do a cookout with them Sat. evening and then they want us to witness their signing a "contract" to work and open themselves to God's directions.  Now for the hard work to begin for them.  Lord, hear our prayers...

Prayers From Indiana Too!!  It  IS  a Tough Old World For One Person, Its Worse for Two. I am Glad to Hear They are Seeking Counseling and that God is "Involved". God Bless  ALL  of You for Getting Involved and Lending a Hand when the Chips are Down!!  

PRAYERS FROM MY FAMILY FOR THE WOUNDED FAMILY AND YOURS ARE ON THE WAY.

Father God, ultimately the sacrifices you accept from us are a broken spirit and a contrite heart,thus we pray in the toughest love we can, the heart of this youngman before you.  Whatever it takes Oh Lord to bring him to You, let it be. Let the anointing flow in such a manner that the old man be destroyed, and the new life begun, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

Hoping that things are still going in a positive direction. Going to church would be a good influence on the whole family. People can say what they want about whatever religion they want, but you can't deny that the congregation will help get you through tough times that sometimes can't be handled on your own. I'm not a preachy person but anyone can benefit by listening to God's word.

In the best of worlds, I'd agree. Yet, unfortunately, many things are done in His name that are hurtful, judgemental and un-Christian.  As with many of us, I've personally seen things done to others in church families that give me the willies... :(

These young folks are seeing a counselor, christian counselor and are close to their church family.

At this point, it's a lot of hard work and it's all new so there isn't a lot of communication while they settle into the routine of doing their due deligence and hard work.  We just keep lifting them up and encouragin them.
