For all Compton members that are wondering about the News Letter, I just talked to Nick Gray, the editor and he said it was at the printer. He is waiting for a proof and as soon as it is approved it will be in the mail.

This issue was held up so it could include news and pictures from the Rendezvous in June. Nick said this will be the best issue to date.

Great Ron.  Glad you got to be the one to christen this forum.

Looking forward to seeing the Rendezvous Pics.

Can't wait to see it Ron. The Rendezvous was an outstanding time!

This June was my first Compton Rendezvous. I sure had a great time. I just wanted to thank everyone that worked so very hard to make it as good as it was.
Thank you.

I sure am glad to see a message on this board. I have been looking at the blank page for quite some time.

As some of you may or may not know, I hold dual citizenship. I am a board member of the other national traditional organization, as well as a recent member of Compton Traditional Bowhunters.

I'm glad to see Compton Traditional Bowhunters taking advantage of this medium. It will allow all of us to communicate much faster than other methods. It also allows only members of the organization to participate in any announcements or debate. Unlike other sites where non-members chime in on topics that don't concern them.

And yes Ron, the Compton Rendezvous was a great event. And I am a self proclaimed expert on great events. I have been a part of the Traditional Nationals in Cloverdale, Indiana for 13 years now. I have no doubt that moving it to the weekend you chose this year, and the great weather help greatly in the success. I have always liked the Berrien County Sportsman's club, in fact, I just sent in my membership application.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi. Sincerely, P.J. Petiniot

Glad to see Comptons finally getting on this new, high quality site.  And I'm still pissed that I had to miss the Rendezvous because of work.  I was really looking forward to hanging out with the fellas.  Next year I will take a vacation day to make sure I can go.  Hope the ATHA booth will still be invited.  I need a place to sit...

Bill Curlis

Mr. laClair,

I met you at Denton Hill and am very interested in this organization. It sounds to me like there is nothing but good things in this organization.
Pick a spot and concentrate!

Jason R. Wesbrock

Kevin,

As long as I've got a chair, you'll always have a place to sit.

Kevin Bahr

Why, thank you Jason.  The feeling is mutual.  Now I just need to make it to a shoot...  Hopefully I can make the hog roast tomorrow night.  But if it rains, I can't because I won't be able to push Chase's wheelie chair through the mud.  And as I look out the front window, it sure looks like rain toward the range, which is about 8 miles west of me.  Cross your fingers...

Terry Green

Nice to know a few are members of both.  I for one look forward to the Comptons news letter as well as the Tracker, PBS, and TBM.

I like getting archery literature in the mail to counter those bills    :D

Anymore word on the newsletter?

Looking forward to it.  I hope it comes before I head to AK next friday.  Always a high quality magazine with good hunting stories.  I wish it was bigger, though but I know the problems with getting members to send material.  KB

Jason R. Wesbrock

Kevin,

I've got an idea for you. If it doesn't show up in time, I can always head up to Alaska and you can wait for the newsletter.

Sound like a plan? Cool! I'll start packing.  :D

Ron LaClair

I just got the word that the Newsletter is in the mail. It went out from the printers in Michigan, bulk mail. Any day now.  :)
