I like that type 1  tigerwood

The grain in Tigerwood varies a lot. This one almost looks like it was laminated.

Not a collector , but it always seemed the s/n sequence and combinations of wood, glass and overlays has more exceptions than predictability. Example: Black tips, b/b/b overlay on riser, SN 9U3912, and what I concluded was nicely figured shedua rather than Goncala Alves, but I'm hardly certain.

Have added the specs of your bow to the first post of this thread, and edited it in an attempt to have everyone record their 1969 Magnums so we can find out how many variations exist.

We now have 10 bows recorded.

They all fit neatly within 4 distinct categories, when arranged in sequential order by serial number.

Got 9U13717 recorded on the list. Thanks so much for letting us know about it.

So far the 11 we have recorded have all fallen in sequential order by serial number within the 4 distinct categories we have identified.

Thanks to everyone who has helped so much with this data gathering exercise for 1969 Kodiak Mag. We now have 27 entries, though a few are incomplete.

Just updated the first post in this thread with all of the recent information that has been submitted by everyone from various sites. If you have additional 1969 Magnums please list them here, preferably with photographs, but without will work for a start.

Here is 9U5758 that I picked up in a pawn shop a couple of years ago for $40. It was my first recurve bow purchase. I am not sure what wood is in the riser.
