Gday Friends .. I found this FB stamped longbow in Grate grampa's garage around 30 years ago , its just been under the bed till now ... Can anyone help identify or have any info on it .. ?
64 " long unstrung  , looks like yew or Osage .?
I cant decipher the stamp marks on it .. ?
The riser looks like partially oak .. I have no idea what the black belly is made of ...
I put the leather grip on , if it has no collectors value I thought I'd string it up and let the kids shoot her .....
Any idea what the brace would be ?

That is a nice example but if that were mine I'd sell or donate or hang it up-it also would make a good garden stake-I do that with unwanted bows.
It might blow apart with the kids shooting it and could cause an injury.

Mmmmm you may be right ... never thought of that , may have lost its integrity over time ....

Can anybody out there identify/decipher the markings and best guess of the history , age .. ?

Looks to be a York longbow missing grip and decals.

Looking at your pictures, it appears to be a Lemonwood Flat Bow made by York Archery.

FB stands for Fibre Backing
53 stands for 5 ft. 4 in. long
18 stands for the poundage
