I'm kind of just throwing this out there, but any suggestions on where I could get some matching glass to a '59 Kodiak to make a knife handle.  Or, by chance, does anyone have a relatively flat portion of an un-usable limb they'd part with.

I just bought one of the "new" '59 Kodiaks at Compton and would sure like a brown/caramel matching knife handle.

Heres a pair a friend of mine made for me out of a 59 riser. How big a piece do you need.

Zep, very nice! Wish I had friends like that!
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

The problem with the glass on a knife handle is it will scuff up so much more than on a bow limb.  I made a matching knife for a Great Northern bow that was an auction package at the PBS Banquet 2014 Cincinnati.  Jerry Brumm sent me a piece of the riser from an Old School Recurve with green glass.  I reversed it so the glass became a liner on the knife handle...tippit

I looked at Brandon's, but I didn't see any glass.

Zepnut, I guess I'll find a knife blade to fit the piece I get!  I'd like to have enough to do a knife with about a 4" handle.

I could always go purple heart, but it'd sure look good with that matching brown/caramel.
