Thanks Snag and everybody else,
Thats is exactly what I wondering, I'm sure the Alaskan guy tried lots of different woods, wonder what kind of data he kept on the results.
If you use other woods, I imagine there must be a sweet spot in regards to temp. and curing for different woods,tied to amount of lignin present for          optimum performance.
1000 shafts a day seems like enough?
I saw that footed shafts are 7.25 each, seems like you could charge top dollar
