Kodiak Special
28AB120, 66", 40#
Dark wood riser and aqua blue glass

Bear Alaskan
21D60 62" 45#
Blonda riser wood and a caramel colored glass, no tip overlays and a leather grip.

I know on some of the model years you go off the first number, the K special I could belive is a 62, but not the Alaskan. Any help is appreciated as always.

Going by the first digit only counts on '65 through '69

Pictures are what we reall need.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Pics will be a week or so. The bows both have stress lines and finish issues and the guy probably thinks they are worth a mint from what the auction site has been bringing lately. Neither strikes my interest other than sentimental value. Thanks for the reply PAPALAPIN

Horney Toad

I think the special is a 1962.

Alaskan...hmmm..1961.

Even without pics it is pretty clear about those two..........just like Horney called it. I just browsed the catalogs and agree.

1962 spec...1961 alaskan....the alaskan is the last year they made that model until reinterduced it in 1966...bowdoc

He is wanting 380.00 for both of them and I'm not sure what they are worth. Both bows have stress lines that are 4 to 5" long. The Alaskan's leather is worn pretty bad, missing the rest and side plate, and looks like it has been drug through a mud puddle. Both have straight limbs and good tips though.

Bit high in todays market......bowdoc
