I have a short recurve that is not much different than a Kodiak Mag, but I don't know what it is.  Just below the grip area it says:

               Hunter
                 54"
               46# 28"
               S. L.  49#
              1596

The bow has green glass with a brown wood riser, with green and white overlays on the tips.

There are no other markings on the bow.

It looks like it is from the late 60's or 70's, and is in very good shape with no visible stress or cracks anywhere on the bow.

Anyone have any ideas?  I will try to post some pics later on.

Thanks,

Pics would help. The 54 inch length limits it to a few different makers. One of which would be Fleetwood archery that made a Hunter model in 1966. It could be a pearson as well as many others. Pics. would help.

Indian Archery as well as American Archery, both made short models pretty near your specs and called Hunter...any pics maybe??? bowdoc
