I've got a couple of bear 4 arrow springarm quivers that both have cracked rubber arrow grippers. Anyone know where I could get a replacement, (new old stock or aftermarket). Thanks, Craig

Falk

Though I cut my own from rubber or silicone I've heard that 3Rivers has them for sale?!

Joe St. Charles did make them. I really like them as the compound is firm but not hard. Arrows do not slip or loosen. They are amber color rather than black, but that is an interesting look. If you want to make your own conveyer belt, or truck mudflaps can be used.
Here's Joe's email:(bigskybow@direcway.com)

Thanks guys, Falk, I saw them in the 3rivers catalog a couple of years ago, I guess they've since sold out because there no longer listed, I should of grabbed a few while I had the chance.
Ron, thanks the Email address, I'll contact him and see if they still have some.

I just saw the 4 arrow grippers on the 3rivers web site on sale. They had both the grippers and the quiver foam. Go to the web deals only link.

I bought one from 3R last year, it was a bit loose for my 2018's. I called and pestered them and they gave me the name of the guy who makes them for them.
I had him make one that fit a bit tighter and absolutely love it..
Had one from Joe. I took a set in a year or so and was as loose as some of the others..
If you watch you can pick up the later 4 arrow quivers and steel the gripper, however some of them are very sift and don't hold much either

I have never used on of these spring quivers. How are they? do they stay on tight.  I need one for a Kodiak Magnum.

The old bear spring arms stay on tight, have some adjustment for length. They made them in long and short for the Kmags, but I think the long will work for you anyway.
Problem with them is they are old, most of them the rivets have worked loos and the grippers are a bit loose for smallish arrows, but there are tricks a guy can do on both ends to make them work well and quiet

My experience has been that 2018's fit loose in most of the bow quivers.  I like the Kwikee Kwiver (6 arrow) and back when I shot 2018's it was a problem.  2117's, 2114's, no problem.  2018's have just a wee to small diameter for a good fit in a bow quiver. Other than that they are great shafts.  Try a set of 2114's.  They were highly recommended by Jack Howard for his bows in a broad range of weights.  I think you will liek them.

The only thing I disliked about the spring arm Bear quivers is that they mar up the finish on your bow limbs from wear.  Still, for some, it is better than drilling you bow to mount a Kwikkee Kwiver or  other screw in type.

Jack, I wasn't pitching the old spring arm quivers just answering a question.
I agree 20's or smaller fit loose as do 11/32 if the quiver has seen some miles.
I have used different rubber based glues and rubber bands to tighten the slots. I have replaced the rivets for the hood with small screws, zip locks and closed cell foam, as well as RTV or Shoo Goo rubbed into the rivets.
The old four arrows split out in the two outside slots but 3 rivers and others make replacements all though none of them look origanal.
Last year I had the guy from 3Rivers make me a 4 arrow gripper with smaller holes.. It works great.
The old spring arm quivers work great but just like driving and old truck, they take some tinkering.
The worst thing I have seen is the wire popping out of the end of the plastic cover on the top wire.. That thing screwed up a couple of good bows.
Some of the Kwikee quivers, the arrow gripper gets stiff as all get out when cold. (I think they have that fixed now). The other thing I don't like about the Kwikee is it sets the arrows too far from the bow. Real b***h when trying to shoot in tight quarters.
Shoot straight and enjoy the season

If you call Bob York he can stamp a gripper at 1/4 inch so a soda straw would be snug...his number is posted above.

Call Bob York and tell him what shaft size you need on the gripper. You will be pleased.

Well, I've got quite a few spring arm quivers. I swear buy them, because I take my quiver off when on stand. I also shoot 2018's, and have not had a problem with them being loose.

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a second Bear 4 arrow bow quiver, One which will attach to the accessory adapter on the front of the bow and by spring arm to the upper limb. Do any of you have a spare you would part with?? Contact me ASAP, Hunting season is here!
Harry.

The molded one ie like the ones that are red or yellowish transperent looking do take a set (1-2 years) and they are about shot...they get a bit lose. Those were injected moldings from the boeing company....But as mentioned above Bob Yorks....Bob and Debby are super good people to deal with and Bob is the one whom made them for 3r's and everyone else except the molded ones.Bobs are die cut on a press out of heavy rubber reinforced belting matiral....His are the best I think....bowdoc
